Story

The wine
Careful hand-picking, a subtle blend of Cabernet Franc cuvées, a typical Saumur grape variety, and ageing in our tuffeau chalk galleries, give this cuvée all its freshness, fruitiness and character.
Location
Our "De Chanceny" rosé cuvée is made from selected plots of land around the commune of Brossay, south of Saumur.
Terroir
A clay-limestone terroir favourable to good ripening.
Vinification
Hand-picked, gently pressed and fermented at a cool temperature (18°C) to preserve the aromas.
Second fermentation in the bottle according to the Traditional Method after selection of the best juices.
Ageing
The minimum 12 months of storage on slats in our tufa cellars before disgorging gives an incomparable finesse of bubble.

Cabernet franc : 90%
Grolleau : 10%

To be enjoyed chilled (8-10°C).
Tasting notes
Pretty pink colour with shiny reflections. Fine persistent bubbles. Freshness and finesse : fine and nervous nose with aromas of fresh red fruits. Lively attack, beautiful aromatic intensity. Balanced palate, enhanced by a fresh and subtle finish.

Enjoy as an aperitif, with grilled sardines or a raspberry tartlet.
